The Edge of Victory?

We have been waiting for months with baited breath for the enemy to renew their attack on our outpost. Yesterday we discovered, to our great dismay, that the dreaded stinkbug army has returned. Again, we find screens covered with their evil soldiers. This time, however, the attack is different. They are only actively assaulting one room. And the stinkbug forces are greatly diminished. Is this merely a feint, or have they truly been decimated?

We will re-apply the poison barrier and wait…

Could this really be the end of the stinkbug siege?

    Hey Lydia…!

It sounds like the work you did this spring and summer is working. I’m happy to say that although they made an attempt to re-enter in late August and early September from 2010 to 2011 it has been night and day. I think the combination of the Talstar (it’s been a year) and the traps has helped curb the amount of the Bugs I see. They hate my home now because they know…touch it and die..Anyone who waited til now it’s a bit too late but you can make a difference for the winter and next year.

Put a spray top on a bottle of Rubbing Alcohol and SPRAY them till they drop. This definitely kills them. I just did 4 of them on my sliding screen door.

It’a by far the cheapest and cleanest method to kill them. The alcohol evaporates and you can pick the dead ones up in a Kleenex and put in a plastic bag.

Hi Lydia! I really enjoy your blog. I wanted to bring the Original Indoor Stink Bug Trap to your attention because it kills stink bugs so that they don’t release their foul odor. It’s specifically designed to be used indoors, so it’s not an outdoor trap modified for indoor use. And it’s proudly made in the United States.
